Comment on decision to suspend Skanled project
Despite the PGNiG SA's efforts to continue the Skanled project, on 29 April 2009 the consortium members decided suspend the project. The reasons include the changed macroeconomic situation and the lack of possibility to secure deliveries of products to be transported by the gas pipeline.

On 14 April 2009 PGNiG S.A. submitted to the President of the ERO a correction of the petition for the approval of the natural gas Tariff no. 2/2009. The correction of the tariff petition is in response to the Request of the President of the ERO that was received on 6 April 2009.

Information on Natural Gas Supplies to Poland
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. and Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. wish to inform that, since March 1st 2009, the offtake of natural gas supplied by Gazprom Export via the Drozdovitse point has been equal to the volumes agreed under the so-called Yamal Contract.

PGNiG S.A. inaugurates gratuitous share transfer agreements for eligible employees
On 3 April 2009, a ceremony took place inaugurating the transfer of PGNiGS.A. share agreements to eligible employees. Among the participants in the ceremony were the Vice Minister of the State Treasury, Krzysztof Żuk, the President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA, Michał Szubski, the Vice-President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA responsiblef or Labour Issues and Restructuring, Mirosław Szkałuba, the Vice-President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA responsible for Strategy, Radosław Dudziński, and the Vice-President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA responsible for Finance, Sławomir Hinc. Representatives of trade unions operating in the PGNiG Capital Group were also present.

Expansion of the Wierzchowice underground natural gas storage facility
On 11 March 2009, the expansion of an underground gas storage facility in Wierzchowice started. This is the largest investment project of that kind in Poland.

Financial Performance of the PGNiG Group for Q4 2008
In 2008, the PGNiG Group recorded a net profit of PLN 929m, a performance virtually unchanged compared with the previous year. However, in the fourth quarter of 2008 alone, the PGNiG Group posted a net loss of PLN 310m.

Change in natural gas extraction forecast
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA announces that its 2009 natural gas extraction forecast was decreased from approximately 4.6 billion m3 to approximately 4.3 billion m3.
