Underground gas storage facilities

Orlen provides the Ticketing Service at the following seven methane-rich natural gas (E) storage facilities: PMG Wierzchowice, PMG Husów, PMG Strachocina, PMG Swarzów, PMG Brzeźnica, KPMG Kosakowo and KPMG Mogilno.

At present, the working capacity of E Gas storage facilities is 3 327.72 million m3.

KPMG Mogilno – methane-rich natural gas storage facility with working capacity of 580.92 million m3 situated at Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, County of Mogilno, within the boundaries of Communes of Mogilno and Rogowo. The storage facility was established in salt mine caverns, allowing high gas injection and offtake capacities.

PMG Husów – methane-rich natural gas storage facility with working capacity of 500 million m3. The facility is located in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, County of Łańcut, Communes of Łańcut and Markowa.

PMG Wierzchowice – methane-rich natural gas storage facility. Established in partly exhausted deposit of nitrogen-rich natural gas in the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship, County of Milicz, Communes of Milicz and Krośnice. It is the largest underground storage facility of natural gas in Poland, with working capacity of 1300 million m3. Work is currently underway to expand the storage facility. The target capacity for this phase is 2 100 mln m3.

PMG Strachocina – methane-rich natural gas storage facility with working capacity of 460 million m3. The facility is located in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, County of Sanok, Communes of Sanok and Brzozów.

PMG Brzeźnica – methane-rich natural gas storage facility with working capacity of 100 million m3. The facility is located in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, County of Dębica, Commune of Dębica.

PMG Swarzów – methane-rich natural gas storage facility with working capacity of 90 million m3. The facility is located in Małopolskie Voivodeship, County of Dąbrowa Tarnowska, Communes of Dąbrowa Tarnowska and Olesno. It is one of the oldest natural gas storage facilities in Poland.

KPMG Kosakowo – methane-rich natural gas storage facility with working capacity of 296.80 million m3. The storage facility is situated in the vicinity of the urban agglomeration of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot.
