LNG

We offer small-scale LNG wholesale based on long-term and medium-term contracts, with an option to supplement them with spot purchases.

Our offering also includes sale and loading of LNG on tanker trucks and into ISO tank containers using the dedicated infrastructure of the Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście (three handling stations, side and rear loading stations). LNG is delivered on an FCA basis, using the buyer’s transport, in accordance with the ‘Terminal’s Operational Code’ and ‘Operating Manual: Additional Service: LNG Tank Truck Loading PX-OI-30-3' issued by Gaz System S.A. the terminal Operator.

As an LNG supplier operating since mid-2016 we have built a track record of a reliable and competitive partner. Since April 1st 2020, we have also been the sole user of the small-scale LNG reloading wharf station in Klaipėda, Lithuania.

The LNG reloading station in Klaipėda has five tanks with a total capacity of 5,000 cubic metres (2,250 tonnes) of liquefied gas. It has two loading stations for LNG trucks and ISO tank containers, which can be used simultaneously. The wharf of the station makes it possible not only to receive LNG from vessels, but also to load LNG, so it can be used for bunkering ships powered by LNG engines.

The Klaipėda station complements the offering of the PGNiG Group. The cost of LNG transport is an important component of the fuel’s price. For Customers from north-eastern Poland, the possibility of receiving LNG from Lithuania may be a good alternative to supplies from the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście and PGNiG’s liquefied gas production plants in Odolanów and Grodzisk Wielkopolski, situated in the Province of Poznań.

Small-scale LNG applications include:

  • in satellite regasification terminals located in Poland and abroad,
  • in medium- and small-scale industry,
  • as fuel for road transport,
  • as low-emission bunker fuel for ships powered by LNG engines.

LNG is an excellent alternative to other fuels, such as LPG or fuel oil.

PGNiG holds relevant licences from the President of the Energy Regulatory Office to trade in liquefied natural gas.
