The Ticketing Service is offered by PGNiG upon flexible terms and conditions, including but not limited to the size of emergency stock, as well as contract duration Service options offered by PGNiG allow the possibility to meet statutory obligations to keep emergency stocks of gas based on the following two options:
- without the obligation of the entrepreneur to purchase additional natural gas for storage; or
- based on natural gas, the ownership of which is transferred to the Customer at the moment the provision of the service is commenced.
The selection of the most suitable variant of the offer is facilitated by the provision of the Ticketing Service Calculator.
The Ticketing Service is provided based on the Ticketing Service Contract. The execution of the Contract is subject to prior consent of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (Urząd Regulacji Energetyki, URE). The obligation to acquire the consent of the President of URE is stipulated in the Law of 16 February 2007 on Stocks of Crude Oil, Petroleum Products and Natural Gas and on the Procedures to be Applied in the Event of Threat to National Fuel Security or Disruptions on the Petroleum Market (Journal of Laws Dz. U. 2017, Item 1210, as amended); Entities with no previous history of cooperation with PGNiG are obligated to present basic company data for the purpose of counterparty verification and assessment of its credit worthiness. It is a standard procedure applied by PGNiG in relation to new Customers.
Shall the Ticketing Service be provided based on the option “Customer’s Gas”, the gas stored is accounted for after the completion of service provision in the form of:
- financial settlement for the gas in storage (resale of the gas in storage), or
- hand-over of gas at OTC Point.
The decision belongs to the Customer. When the option “PGNiG Gas” is selected, the settlement referred to above does not apply, since the gas remains the property of PGNiG.
After the emergency stock is released, relevant terms and conditions of the Contract apply, depending upon the service provision option selected by the Customer.
