Notice of the initiation of the Anti-trust proceedings

The Management Board of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (“PGNiG”, “Company”) announces that on March 11th 2019 it has received the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection’s notice of an initiation of the Anti-trust proceedings, whose parties are Veolia Energia Warszawa S.A., Veolia Energia Polska S.A., PGNiG TERMIKA S.A., a subsidiary of PGNiG, and PGNiG itself, regarding violation of prohibitions – which was supposed to take place in connection with suspicion of an agreement in 2014 – stated in Art. 6.1.1, 6.1.3 and 6.1.7 of the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection, as well as Art. 101.1.a and 101.1.c of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union in respect to heat price fixing, heat market division and reconciliation of the terms of offers placed in tenders for heat sales and deliveries.
Based on preliminary analysis of the notice, the Company’s Management Board evaluates the risk of negative consequences for the Capital Group of PGNiG as low.
