PGNiG Group delivers strong financial performance on higher crude output
In the first three quarters of 2013, the PGNiG Group posted over PLN 2bn in net profit, versus PLN 122m in the same period last year. This bottom-line improvement was driven by a substantial increase in the volumes of crude oil produced and sold after the production facility in Lubiatów and the Skarv field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf were brought on stream.

Announcement by PGNiG SA concerning EuRoPol Gaz SA
On November 8th 2013, prior to the scheduled meetings of the Supervisory Board and the General Meeting of EuRoPol Gaz SA, the company received a resignation letter from Zdzisław Jamka, second Vice-President of the Management Board, and the General Meeting of EuRoPol Gaz SA received a request from Mirosław Dobrut, President of the Management Board, to be removed from the office. Under the current legal status, EuRoPol Gaz SA does not meet the requirements set out in its Articles of Association whereby the Management Board must be composed of four members.

PGNiG SA is testing gas flow at the Hermanowice exit point
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA concluded an agreement with Ukraine-based DTEK Trading on the supply of natural gas for the purpose of evaluating the possibility of natural gas transmission across the territory of Poland to the Polish transmission system's exit point in Hermanowice.

PGNiG’s crude oil output and sales double in Q1–Q3 2013
The volume of crude oil sold by Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG) in Q1-Q3 2013 doubled, from 352 thousand tonnes to 705 thousand tonnes, year on year. In the same period, crude output rose more than twofold, from 353 thousand to 789 thousand tonnes. These substantial increases in crude production and sales follow the launch of production from two key projects - the LMG oil and gas extraction facility and the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

PGNiG SA plans to increase production of crude oil in 2014
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA has plans to increase production of crude oil in 2014 to 1.19 million tonnes. According to the updated forecast for 2013, production is expected to more than double relative to 2012 - with up to 1.09 million tonnes (about 8 million barrels) extracted in 2013, compared with 492 thousand tonnes (about 3.6 million barrels) in 2012. Such growth will be attributable mainly to foreign production, which in 2013 will reach 310 thousand tonnes (about 2.3 million barrels), as well as to the Lubiatów production facility coming on stream.

Court ruling on PGNiG's appeal against a decision of the President of URE
On October 10th 2013, the Regional Court of Warsaw - the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection reduced the amount of a fine imposed by a decision of the President of URE on Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA for its breach of the terms of a cross-border gas trading licence to PLN 1.5m.
