31.01.2013 Recruitment of PGNiG Management Board members about to start

The PGNiG Supervisory Board is about to launch competitive recruitment processes to fill vacancies on the Company's Management Board. The positions to be filled include Vice-President for Finance and Vice-President for Exploration and Production. A specialist senior staff recruitment consultancy will assist the Supervisory Board in the selection process.

The first recruitment procedure will be to fill the post of Vice-President for Finance, which will be available following the planned appointment of Mr Sławomir Hinc as President (CEO) of PGNiG Norway, effective as of April 1st 2013, and his resignation from the PGNiG Management Board.

The other recruitment process will be for the position of Vice-President for Exploration and Production. It is closely related to PGNiG's strategic objective to increase production of conventional and unconventional oil and gas from domestic sources.

Over the last few months, PGNiG Management Board has successfully reorganised the Company's exploration and production structures and formed the new Geology and Operations Branch in the process. Furthermore, the PGNiG Management Board has designed an ambitious exploration programme whose successful implementation depends on the deepest possible involvement of the Management Board member put in charge of upstream operations.
