27.04.2012 PGNiG SA to hold workshops on the Gas Deregulation Programme

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA, in consultation with the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE), will organise workshops devoted to underlying assumptions of the Gas Deregulation Programme. The workshops are designed to help prepare a common approach to the Programme, with due consideration given, to the extent possible, to opinions and comments presented by participants of the public consultations.

PGNiG SA has completed an analysis of feedback received from market participants during public consultations regarding the Programme's underlying assumptions.

The analysis has revealed is a wide spectrum of differing opinions presented by individual market participants. Further, the comments proved to be materially different from the Energy Regulatory Office's guidelines outlined in the Recommendations of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office for Gas Deregulation in Poland.

The date and venue of the workshops will be announced in a separate release.

In February 2012, PGNiG released the Gas Deregulation Programme for public consultations, prepared based on the Recommendations of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office for Gas Deregulation in Poland dated November 15th 2011, as well as the natural gas prices deregulation roadmap dated December 22nd 2011.

The Programme's objective is to create a market environment in which it will be possible to deregulate gas prices for institutional customers.

PGNiG SA had previously indicated that it was aware of possible significant changes in the natural gas market in Poland after its liberalisation. With such developments in mind, the Company is preparing a competitive and flexible offering with a view to retaining the existing customers.
