In Q4 2011, the volume of natural gas sales amounted to 4.2 billion cubic metres, compared with 4.4 billion cubic metres in the same period of the previous year. The lower sales are attributable to higher air temperatures in Q4 2011 than in Q4 2010. In Q4 2011, the Company produced 1.1 billion cubic metres of natural gas, a volume similar to that recorded in Q4 2010.

Natural gas imports amounted to 2.9 billion cubic metres in Q4 2011 and 10.9 billion cubic metres in 2011.

The production of crude oil reached 468 thousand tonnes in 2011, compared with 501 thousand tonnes in 2010. In Q4 2011 alone, the production of crude oil amounted to 123 thousand tonnes, while in Q4 2010 it was 135 thousand tonnes.

The drop in crude oil production in Q4 2011 relative to Q4 2010 is attributable to the fact that a customer using gas generated by degassing crude oil from the Dębno Mine reduced its consumption owing to a relatively warm winter. Collection of this gas is the primary condition for steady production of crude oil.

As at December 31st 2011 the high-methane gas underground storage facilities (Brzeźnica, Husów, Strachocina, Swarzów, and Wierzchowice Underground Gas Storage Facilities, and Mogilno Underground Gas Storage Cavern Facility) contained approximately 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas, including the volume managed by Operator Systemu Przesyłowego Gaz-System SA and the mandatory stocks managed by the Minister of Economy. As at December 31st 2010, the underground gas storage facilities contained 820 million cubic metres of gas.

The data for Q4 2011 and the entire year 2011 are estimates and may differ from the actual data to be disclosed on March 20th 2012 during the publication of the 2011 results.
