The Company received the award in recognition of the full scope of its operations as part of shale gas exploration projects. The award is a particularly important distinction, especially in the light of PGNiG SA's ambitious plans regarding shale gas exploration as well as the related challenges faced by the Company and other involved entities.

As noted during the awards ceremony, Europe's energy security may depend on Polish shale gas reserves. Poland sets the direction in shale gas exploration, which in the medium or long term may reduce EU Member States' reliance on imports of energy carriers.

The award was presented to the Company's representative during the Shale Gas Awards gala held on January 19th 2012 in Warsaw.
