31.01.2012 PGNiG SA again included in the Respect Index
For the fourth time, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA has been included in the select group of companies listed as part of the Respect Index, Central and Eastern Europe's first corporate social responsibility index run by the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The RESPECT Index is intended to promote responsible management of listed companies in the context of sustainable growth, corporate disclosure discipline and communication with the financial markets.
This time round, the Respect Index comprises 23 names.
The qualification involves a three-stage process managed by the Warsaw Stock Exchange to evaluate candidates' performance in the areas specified above, as well as an audit exercise carried out by Deloitte, a project partner. As part of the qualification process, candidate companies fill in an extensive questionnaire, which has grown in scope with each successive edition of the ranking.
PGNiG has been listed as part of the Respect Index since its inception in November 2009.
