01.02.2016 PGNiG files a claim in arbitration proceedings against Gazprom
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA announces that on February 1st 2016, the Company filed a claim against OAO Gazprom and OOO Gazprom Export in arbitration proceedings pending before the Arbitration Court in Stockholm. The claim is part of the arbitration procedure initiated by PGNiG on May 13th 2015 to change the price terms of the long-term gas supply contract of September 25th 1996.
The steps taken by PGNiG aim to bring the contract in line with the conditions currently prevailing on the European natural gas market.
Because the arbitration proceedings are confidential, PGNiG will not disclose any details about the action or the Company’s claims.
The pending arbitration proceedings do not preclude the parties from holding commercial negotiations to reach an agreement.
