05.04.2013 Decision of the PGNiG Supervisory Board concerning Vice-President of the Management Board for Exploration & Production

At its meeting held on April 2nd 2013, the Supervisory Board of PGNiG SA decided to repeal the resolution of February 27th 2013 appointing Mr Krzysztof Bocian as Vice-President of the Management Board for Exploration & Production, and to close the recruitment process without selecting any successful candidate.

The Supervisory Board's decision is connected with the fact that Mr Krzysztof Bocian refused to accept the standardised terms of employment for Members of the PGNiG Management Board, including those specifying the scope and duration of the non-compete clause after the end of the Vice-President's term in office.

At the same time, we wish to stress that since May 2012 responsibility for the exploration and production area has fallen within the remit of Mr Mirosław Szkałuba, Vice-President of the PGNiG Management Board, who is also in charge of IT and Procurement. Accordingly, any information suggesting that there is a vacancy in the position in question is untrue. The delivery - under the management of Mr Mirosław Szkałuba - of our ambitious capex plan for 2013, whereby our efforts to explore for both conventional gas and shale gas are to be significantly intensified, is PGNiG's priority objective. This year, the Company plans to spud 33 wells, including 13 wells in search of shale gas. In the first quarter of 2013, despite the weather being quite bad for Poland, we managed to complete 90% of all exploration work scheduled for that period. Preparations to start drilling the Kochanowo well as part of the KCT project are nearing completion.
