Appointment of the President and Vice-President of PGNiG’s Management BoardCurrent Report No. 62/2006 dated 11 September 2006The Management Board of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (PGNiG) hereby reports that at its today’s meeting the Supervisory Board of PGNiG appointed the following persons to PGNiG’s Management Board:• Mr Krzysztof Głogowski – for the post of the President of the Management Board, effective from 1 October 2006;• Mr Tadeusz Zwierzyński – for the post of the Vice-President of the Management Board responsible for strategic projects.Mr. Krzysztof Głogowski graduated with a master’s degree from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Silesian University in Katowice. He has been admitted to the Polish Bar as a legal advisor. In the years 1986-1990, he was a member of the Organizational Team of the Office of the Minister for the Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources; 1990-1995, he was employed at the Ministry of Ownership Transformations; including, as Director of the Legal Department. He was a PHARE legal advisor at the Foundation for Ownership Transformations in the Republic of Poland. In 1995-2000, he was an advisor to the World Bank at the Ministry of Ownership Transformations, and subsequently at the Ministry of the State Treasury. Since 2000, he has been a consultant to the Minister of the State Treasury, at the Legal Department. Mr. Głogowski has also been the chairman of the supervisory board of "Grupa Kęty" S.A. and a member of the supervisory board of Altadis Polska S.A.. Since December 2005 he has been the chairman of the supervisory board of PGNiG and since 9 January 2006 vice-chairman of the supervisory board of EuRoPol Gaz S.A.Tadeusz Zwierzyński – graduate of the Ship Technology Institute at the Gdańsk University of Technology. Since 2003, he has served as the Proxy and Technical and Development Director. In 2002–2003, he held the post of Restructuring Director at Stocznia Szczecińska Nowa Sp. z o.o. (Szczecińska shipyard). In 1979–2002, he held the following successive positions at Stocznia Gdynia S.A. (Gdynia shipyard): Technical Manager, Manager of the Production Preparation Office, Head of the Control and Development Office, Member of the Management Board and Technical Director, Proxy and Technical Director. Moreover, in 1995–1996, he served as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wolny Obszar Gospodarczy S.A. of Gdynia. He took part in numerous training programmes. Since 24 July 2006 he has been a registered proxy of PGNiG.The newly-appointed members of the Management Board are not engaged in any activities competitive to PGNiG’s business. They are not partners in any competitive partnership under civil law or another type of partnership, or members of governing bodies of any company competitive to PGNiG. They are not entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors maintained pursuant to the National Court Register Act.
