Changes in the composition of the Supervisory Board of PGNiGCurrent Report No. 119/2005The Management Board of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (“PGNiG”) hereby announces that on 27 October 2005, the Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of PGNiG appointed the following persons to the Supervisory Board:1. Mr. Kazimierz Chrobak;2. Mr. Mieczysław Kawecki; and3. Mr. Mirosław Szkałuba.Mr. Kazimierz Chrobak is a graduate of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow, Faculty of Drilling and Crude Oil. He has been working in the oil industry for 28 years. He has been employed by PGNiG as a supervisor, workshop manager, specialist, department manager, and deputy division director. In 1977, he started working at Wielkopolskie Zakłady Gazownictwa i Górnictwa Nafty i Gazu (Gas and Oil Works for the Wielkopolskie region). Since 1982, he has been working at the Zielonogórski Zakład Górnictwa Nafty i Gazu (Gas and Oil Works for the Zielona Góra region), with the exception of two years (1988-1999), when he worked in the Company’s Headquarters in Warsaw. He has served as chief engineer for investment matters for the last five years.He has also served as chairman of the Employee Council of PGNiG and member of the third-term Supervisory Board of PGNiG.e is the chairman of the Zielona Góra division of the Science and Technology Association of Gas and Oil Industry Engineers.Mr. Mieczysław Kawecki, is a graduate of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow, Faculty of Drilling and Crude Oil, where he obtained an MSc in drilling in 1983.He started his professional career in 1976 in the Sanocki Zakład Górnictwa Nafty i Gazu (Gas and Oil Works in Sanok) in the Wańkowa oil drilling field. In 1984, he became manager of the newly opened crude oil and natural gas field in Lublin. In 1986, he was transferred to the Wielopole crude oil field and became the mine manager. Since 1991, Mr. Kawecki has been employed as manager of the Strachocina Underground Natural Gas Storage Facility.In 1998, Mr. Kawecki completed post-graduate studies in underground gas storage and in 2003 he graduated from the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow with a degree in environmental protection in business.He is an active member of the Management Board of the Sanok division of the Science and Technology Association of Gas and Oil Industry Engineers. He is a Mining and Drilling engineer with first-degree qualifications.In 1990-1992, Mr. Kawecki was a member of the Employee Council at the Gas and Oil Works in Sanok and a delegate to the General Meeting of Delegates of PGNiG Warszawa.From 1994 to the transformation of PGNiG into a joint-stock company, Mr. Kawecki was a member of the sixth and seventh-term Employee Council of PGNiG Warszawa, where he served on the statutory and restructuring committee as a member and subsequently as vice-chairman of the committee. He was a member of a consultancy group for PGNiG until 1998. Since May 2005, he has been a member of the Trade Union Coordination Committee.Mr. Mirosław Szkałuba, is a graduate of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow, Faculty of Drilling and Crude Oil, where he obtained an MSc in oil drilling in 1984. In 1998, he completed post-graduate studies in capital investments and business development projects at the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2004, he passed the state examination for members of supervisory boards in state-owned companies.In 1984 – 1994 Mr. Szkałuba was a mathematics teacher. Mr. Szkałuba has been employed by PGNiG since 1994, currently in the Company’s Headquarters – the Exploration Department (Ośrodek Południe in Jasło) as a drilling specialist. His duties include design, preparing cost estimates, supervision and settlements related to exploration works. He is the chairman of the Management Board of the KADRA trade union of technical engineers at the Company’s Headquarters.he new members of the Supervisory Board do not perform other competitive activities nor are they partners in any civil law or registered partnership competitive against PGNiG. Furthermore, they are not members of governing bodies of any competitive company and are not listed in the register of insolvent debtors maintained under the Act on the National Court Register.
