Our geologists organized in 2009 field work in the neighboring Gargaf area to study outcrops of main reservoir, source and sealing formations in the region. The study gives an excellent comparative background for interpretation of the seismic data. Simultaneously, the geologists are also studying regional context of tectonic and facies development of the area which allow us to understand evolution of the petroleum system and interpret promising hydrocarbon traps.
The Company has fully completed the 2D seismic survey, 70 percent of 3D seismic survey and drilled 2 exploratory wells up to now. Gas discoveries have been announced in Devonian horizons in both drilled wells (A1-113/1 in 2013 and B1-113/1 in 2014).
