29.09.2007 LNG Terminal named the business event of the year 2006 in Western Pomeranian Voivodeship
The decision of Polish Oil and Gas Company on construction of areceiving terminal for liquefied natural gas in Swinoujscie has beennamed the business event of the year 2006 in Western PomeranianVoivodeship. Today, in Szczecin Tadeusz Zwierzynski, Vice President ofPGNiG in charge of strategic projects received the prestigious RegionalForbes Executive Award 2006.
This distinction has a special value for Polish Oil and Gas Company."We are happy that the representatives of the Western Pomeranian regionrecognise the opportunity that comes along with the LNG terminal.Infrastructure development and new jobs are just an example of thebenefits the investment will bring for the region" - said TadeuszZwierzynski, Vice President of PGNiG.
The awards are granted byForbes magazine the Ministry of Regional Development, the BritishPolish Chamber of Commerce and the British Embassy. In addition, therepresentatives of local authorities and the business community of theWestern Pomeranian Voivodeship took part in the proceedings of thejury. The votes were also collected in a special questionnaire formedia representatives and entrepreneurs from other regions. Othernominations for the Forbes award of Business Event of the Year in theWestern Pomeranian region were given to the Industrial Park in PoliceINFRAPARK "Police" SA and the Science and Technology Park in Szczecin.
