20.11.2023 The annual meeting of the Technical Committee 2023
In continuation of the annual technical meetings held between the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the participating foreign companies, the NOC’s Exploration Department held, on Monday morning, 20 November 2023 at NOC’S HQ in Tripoli, a technical meeting with officials of the PGNiG Upstream North Africa Company B.V. (PUNA).
During the meeting, the discussions were held on the PUNA’s exploratory activity during the year 2023 and the proposed technical work for the year 2024, with regard to seismic surveying, exploratory drilling, and geological and geophysical studies. The discussion also touched on lifting the state of Force Majeure and resuming the Company's exploratory activities in the LC 113 granted to it in Libya, located in the Murzuq Basin.
The meeting was attended on behalf of the NOC by the Director of the Exploration Department, by Mr. Abdel Moneim Battikh, and a number of specialists and technicians in the Exploration Department. On behalf of the PUNA, the Deputy Manager of the Libya Branch, Mr. Ibrahim Sherif, was present. Through the closed circle, the General Manager of the Libya Branch, Mr. Szymon Drzewakowski, and the Director of the Exploration Department, Mrs. Anna Baszkiewicz, and a number of specialists from ORLEN and PUNA.
