We have launched production abroad
In view of PGNiG consistent expansion into foreign markets, PGNiG Upstream International has been established in Norway. At present, PGNiG UI holds 15 licences on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and conducts exploration activities on eight of them, including as the operator on two licences. As at December 2014, its total recoverable reserves were estimated at 81 million barrels of oil and gas equivalent, i.e. nearly 10% of the PGNiG Group's total reserves.
“At present, PGNiG UI holds interests in 15 licences on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. We also plan to participate in this year's licensing rounds in order to acquire new areas for further exploration. PGNiG is also carrying out gas production operations in Pakistan,” said Mariusz Zawisza, President of the Management Board.
