08.10.2008 EGM consents to the sale of Polskie LNG Sp. z o.o.

On 8 October 2008, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of PGNiG SA consented to the noncompetitive sale of 100 percent of shares in Polskie LNG Sp. z o.o., with its registered office in ?winouj?cie, to Operator Gazoci?gów Przesy?owych Gaz-System S.A.  

The purchase price for 100 percent of shares in Polskie LNG Sp. z o.o. requires to be approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders of PGNiG S.A., which shall take place following the valuation of the shares by an independent expert. Accordingly, at the end of September PGNiG, Gaz-System and Polskie LNG signed an agreement with KPMG, a consulting company, on the preparation of such valuation. The results of the valuation will be ready at the beginning of November.

Polskie LNG was established in 2007 for the purpose of construction and operation of an LNG terminal in ?winouj?cie.
