Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) and Cheniere Marketing International LLP have signed a long-term agreement for supplies of liquefied natural gas from the USA.

PGNiG prepares a development plan for another field in Norway

The gas reserves of the Fogelberg field are estimated at between 7 and 14 bcm. The start of commercial production is in line with the plans of PGNiG as the company seeks to increase the production of natural gas in Norway in order to supply it via the Baltic Pipe to Poland.

PGNiG to buy Tommeliten Alpha interest from Equinor

PGNiG Upstream Norway AS, part of the PGNiG SA Group, signed a sales and purchase agreement with Equinor (formerly Statoil) to buy into the Tommeliten Alpha gas and condensate field, located in the southern part of the Norwegian Continental Shelf in the greater Ekofisk Area. The transaction marks a next step in the implementation of the PGNiG Group's strategy and will allow for a significant increase in natural gas production outside Poland.

PGNiG and Venture Global LNG Announce LNG Sales and Purchase Agreements for 2 Million Tonnes Per Year

For a 20-year term, Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) will receive liquefied natural gas from the USA for domestic customers or for resale. Under the agreements, PGNiG will purchase LNG on a free on board (FOB) basis starting from the commercial operation date of the Venture Global Calcasieu Pass LNG export facility, currently expected in 2022, and the commercial operation date of the Venture Global Plaquemines LNG export facility, currently expected in 2023.

PGNiG Group to step up production and roll out gas network in Zielona Góra and Poznań regions

The increased gas output will benefit the CHP plants in Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra, supplying heat and electricity to local households and businesses. With new investment projects under way, more residents of the Zielona Góra province will gain access to the gas distribution network.

PGNiG: Breakthrough in Natural Gas Exploration in Podkarpacie Region

Within the next 5 years, natural gas extraction in Podkarpacie Region is set to rise by 28 per cent to 1.75 billion m3 a year, estimates Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG SA). The new deposits will boost Polish energy security and contribute to regional development.

PGNiG: Natural gas consumption in Poland is rising, with LNG accounting for nearly 20 percent of imports

Basing on confirmed reports, the Company informs that between January-August 2018, LNG accounted for nearly 20 percent of imports, while natural gas from Russia accounted for ca. 74 percent of imports.

Gazprom Plays for Time as it Challenges Partial Award of the Arbitration Court in Stockholm Issued in Favour of PGNiG

Arbitration Court in Stockholm informed that Gazprom challenged its partial award from 30 June, in which it agreed with PGNiG that the Company has contractual grounds to request a change in prices charged by Gazprom for natural gas supplied to Poland under the Yamal Contract.
