Projects co-financed by the European Union under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013.

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (Polish Oil and Gas Company) SA is implementing two projects of expansion of underground gas storage facilities (PMGs) in Wierzchowice and in Strachocina) as well as one project involving construction of an Underground Cavern Gas Storage Facility (KPMG Kosakowo). These projects are co-financed by the European Union under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013 (www.pois.gov.pl). The PMG Projects are aimed at improving the security of gas supply in Poland. Upon completion of the investments, the PMG capacity is to increase by approx. 1.0 billion m3 to 2.6 billion m3.
