"Values, business and social relations" is the motto of the third edition of the "Responsible Energy" Conference organized by Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo and PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers). This years' conference will take place on the June 14th in the Hilton Warsaw Hotel. The event is held under the patronage of Waldemar Pawlak, the Minister of Economics, and the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
The conference was initiated in 2009 and its main goal has been to create an opportunity for exchange of experiences and opinions among companies from the energy sector, representatives of public administration and non-governmental organizations, as well as all interested in the sustainable development issues.
The key subject of this edition of the conference is the role of values in the social capital building process and the role of business in shaping the social and economic environment in Poland. These matters will be discussed with reference to the Vision of sustainable development for Polish business, and the workshop sessions held during the event will be devoted to this topic as well.
Two previous editions of the „Responsible Energy" Conference confirmed that sustainable development and responsible business issues are of a huge interest to many. Therefore, Organizers expect that this year's meeting will provide even more inspirational thoughts, knowledge and answers to the participants' questions on how to develop business in a sustainable way and at the same time supporting development of Polish social capital.
Many Polish and international speakers have been invited to take part in the third edition of the conference. Among them there is prof. Janusz Czapiński, who will discuss the role of values in social capital building process in Poland. Richard Barrett – a very well-established international lecturer, author and consultant of the Barrett Values Centre – has been invited to the event as a keynote speaker. Richard will present the concept of the new paradigm in management based on sustainable development, values and organizational culture.
We invite all interested to participate in the conference and a common discussion on June 14th, 2011.
